“My wife, Carol, and I did a 17-day multi-game hunt in the Tanzanian Selous Game Reserve in July-August of 2015 through Kilombero North Safaris. Jack Franklin was our PH, handling the camp and the hunts. We had something like 16 camp and hunt staff and the entire camp to ourselves. It was a spectacularly successful hunt and a great experience. We shot most of what we came for, including hippo, buffalo, a variety of plains game, and unexpectedly I got and made a good shot at a large lion. Each day’s drive about the concession was a joy, with great scenery, plenty of game, and chances to participate in the doing of the hunt rather than just riding along. The camp and our tent/cabin was very comfortable, the food and drink very good, the staff camaraderie and service excellent, and always there was an attempt to provide whatever we wished. Jack saw to every detail, was a hunt companion as well as a guide, and treated us as adults and friends more than just customers. Time, health and finances allowing, we will hunt again with Jack.”
“My Best Safari: Charging hippopotamus stopped at five feet. A large leopard and a 14-foot crocodile completed my Big Five and Dangerous Seven on the morning of the third day of the 17-day hunt. Beautiful camp, excellent food and support. Jack, the PH, and his bride worked very hard for all this to happen. The rest of the hunt I took a kudu, a large hyena along with a very nice impala, plus a very tough hartebeest. I cannot say enough great things about this Tanzania hunt. I have hunted almost all the way around the world and if I had to define the word safari this hunt would describe it perfectly. WOW!”
